Leonid Radvinsky, the owner of OnlyFans, died of cancer on Monday at the age of 43. A company spokesperson said he "passed away peacefully after a long battle with cancer" and asked for privacy for his family.
Radvinsky, a Ukrainian-born US citizen, acquired OnlyFans in 2018. The platform, best known for subscriptions to adult content, made him a billionaire; Forbes estimated his net worth at $4.7bn at the time of his death.
Before OnlyFans, Radvinsky built his initial fortune operating adult websites as a teenager, businesses that were described by Forbes as shady and spam-heavy. His purchase of OnlyFans transformed his profile, turning a niche subscription site into one of the most commercially significant platforms in the creator economy.
No details about succession or the future ownership of the privately held company have been disclosed.
